Nestled within the serene greenery of Hilversum, the Boutique Hotel Villa Trompenberg is an absolute gem. My experience was marked by the charming self-service concept, which cultivated a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of home, allowing me to unwind after a full day of exploration. Room number 3 had breathtaking views over the landscaped garden, complete with a deep, comfortable bed that offered one of the best night's sleep I've ever had. The breakfast buffet was a delight, featuring fresh homemade bread, vibrant fruits, and a variety of cheese-perfect fuel for our daily excursions into Amsterdam, just a train ride away. I absolutely adored the hotel's architectural features, from the elegant fireplaces to the sparkling chandeliers, which beautifully intertwined classic elegance with modern comfort. Though the nearest supermarket might require a trek, the tranquility of the surrounding woods made it worth the little inconvenience. For those needing a quiet escape while still having access to city adventures, I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Trompenberg as a cozy base from which to explore this captivating slice of the Netherlands.
